About Me
I am an environmental feminist striving to build solutions to global climate change through the perspective of female actors in local communities. I grew up in the desert mountains of the Coachella Valley, then took off for the Rocky Mountains for my bachelor's and master's at the University of Denver, and have landed currently in the Ecuadorian Andes as a U.S. Fulbright Scholar. I study the role of ecotourism on women empowerment and conservation in Ecuador. I also work part-time for the most positively intentional environmental, social, and governance (ESG) consulting firm, the Uplift Agency.

My story with Ecuador began in 2019 as a study abroad student with the School for International Training (SIT). I grew a deep connection to the people, culture, and nature in this small, but overwhelmingly beautiful country. In July 2021, I returned on an internship with Fundación EcoMinga in support of my master's studies at the University of Denver. This year, I was granted a Fulbright Open Research Award to continue my work with women on the ground in their fight against machismo and climate change. My writing from these three different adventures are available on this page, in parallel with my growth as a human being through them. I share my gratitude to you for reading my stories.
